This collection of clips gives a rider's eye view of the World Naked Bike Ride in London UK on 11th June 2016. Well over a thousand people participated, and large crowds cheered on the riders, despite the cool, rainy conditions. The protest was divided between six routes. This film starts with riders at Tower Hill.

There was heavy rain at the start of the ride, so the first part of this video was filmed with my waterproof camera. It is very good 30 feet below the water, but not so good for audio and stabilisation quality when hand-held on a moving bicycle in the rain. By the second half it was dry with a touch of sun, so you will see a higher quality of video from my usual camera.

WNBR is a world-wide campaign, with a number of linked themes. Its objectives are:
- Protest against the global dependency on oil

- Demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on city streets

The WNBR World Naked Bike Ride returned to Manchester for its 10th anniversary. Everything went ahead without a hitch and spirits where high. Starting and finishing on Oxford Road and riding down Deansgate past the Hilton with approximately 200 people riding in convoy to bring awareness to cyclists and carbon emissions.

I was part of this ride in order to make a point about the hypocrisy based on nudity in the UK, based on double standard’s?
An open attitude to nudity is a natural and healthy one.
Brief for the ride. 2016
This is a protest against car culture and oil dependency, and a way to demonstrate how vulnerable cyclists are on the road. It's also a celebration of body freedom and a lot of fun! You don't need to be completely naked, just go "as bare as you dare". (E.g. most people wear shoes.)

There are 6 start points for this year's ride, so please chose the one you like the most, each ride covers a different distance. All 6 routes will merge together, so everyone will finish in the same place, then a smaller group will head back to West Norwood for a clothing optional BBQ. The exact route will be decided nearer to the date.

World Naked Bike Ride, 10th June 2016, Manchester

Reuploaded. Original video was blocked due to copyright music on the soundtrack. I'll have to stay well away from anyone towning a soundsystem in future.

A cold, wet June day in Manchester. It was still raining as people were getting ready at the start. I shot this in 720p, but can't now remember what cameras were used. The original video files from the cameras were on a hard drive that died so this has been edited from an earlier version that I had on a USB stick. It sounded strange if I dropped bits of the audio to avoid copyright claims, so I replaced the whole thing. Which meant losing all the ambient sounds : bikes, other riders, spectators, etc but nobody watches the videos for the environmental noise.

It took me about an hour to cycle to the start point which resulted in the dreaded "saddle shrinkage." Which was no excuse to not take part. Millions will have thought "I can't do this" in wartime but went ahead and did it, often at the cost of their lives. Taking part in a naked bike ride is nothing compared to what they did.

The Brighton 2016 naked bike ride a protest against car culture and oil dependency, the riders make another stop for refreshments + music and dance before commencing on the last leg of the ride, Warning Contains Full Frontal Nudity.

This year more than 400 people participated in the annual Los Angeles World Naked Bike Ride. Wonder
Hussy was there to capture it all! Unfortunately the weather was slightly drizzly and overcast for a
naked bike ride. The riders were a tit bit nipply in the cold but energy levels were still high.
When you register you must read the rules before you get your wrist band. One of the rules is "As Bare
as you dare". As Wonder Hussy undresses you can see many other riders in various forms of undress
from fully nude to wearing body paint and even zany costumes. The theme seems to be as wild as
possible.

Wonder Hussy captures awesome shots of the first leg of the ride which was 5 miles long. The riders went through Downtown Los Angeles and looped back up. She said it was a fantastic, adrenaline rushed ride with a few brutal hills mixed in.

The World Naked bike ride happens all over and the best thing about it is it’s free for all. This year's ride is almost over but check a city near you for next time!
