Bristol World Naked Bike Ride always seems to be quite eventful and 2022 proved to be just that...with drama for Thomas & Muse, a slight chill in the air and some hostility during the ride. It is, however, as always a positive experience and a joy to behold so many people taking part in this protest against car culture and a celebration of the human form. This film documents the event of the Bristol 2022 ride. If you don't wish to see non-sexual nudity don't watch the film.

After a long World Naked Bike Ride hiatus, we stopped back in Madison to capture its 11th ride in the 12 years since its inception. Just as much fun, just as much skin.

World Naked Bike Ride takes place every year, in many cities of the world, where people ride their bikes naked to celebrate cycling and their bodies. People strip off their clothes because a naked ride is supposed to symbolize the vulnerability of cyclists on the road. Hundreds of cyclists ride naked every year to make a statement and to demonstrate body freedom.

According to the World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) website, the purpose of the event is to “put a stop to the indecent exposure of people and the planet to cars and the pollution they create.”

The event has evolved over the years to include other causes, including gender and racial equality. The first organized nude ride took place in Canada back in 2004. Since then it has spread to many cities across the globe, including Montreal.

World Naked Bike Ride Coventry 2022

The Bellingham Naked Bike Ride returns for its 12th year after a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic where participants bike nude through the streets of downtown on Sunday, June 5.
